see the world!

So let me give you a quick back story. I am at a two year college and planning to transfer to a university where I can finish studying for my undergrad. I want to move out of state, and my parents want me to stay local. We can’t come to a decision. This is the idea my parents came up with.. 

If I stay local, my parents agreed to let me take a year off before grad school (in about two years) to travel the world.. go wherever I want for how ever long I want. I have a year off to travel anywhere and go see the world! 

I have a few ideas about where I want to go, but I’m not really sure how long I should stay where, what time of the year is best for each destination, where are good places to visit in each city, where are good places to stay, etc. Below is the list of where I want to go (in no particular order) and about how long I am hoping to stay at each place. 

Spain- Barcelona (3 weeks), Ibiza (2 weeks), Madrid (5 days)

Europe- Ireland (3 weeks), Scotland (2 weeks), London (3 weeks), Belgium (1 week), Amsterdam (2 weeks), Switzerland (1 month), Milan (5 days), Napels (1 week), Sicily (1 week), Greece (1 month)

India- Nepal (2 weeks), Sri Lanka (1 week)

Indonesia- Bali (1 month)

Australia- Sydney (6 weeks)

New Zealand- *not sure where specifically (2 weeks)

United States- New York (2 weeks), Washington (1 week), San Francisco (1week) 

Then back to Los Angeles!

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know! Whether it is regarding how long I stay where, if you think I should visit somewhere else or not go somewhere at all, when a good time of the year would be to go, where are fun places to visit, if there is anything in particular that comes to mind- please share!
